Cavity Wall Insulation
What is cavity wall insulation?
We blow high quality mineral wool insulation into the cavity in your wall. This traps air in its fibres and forms a barrier that retains the heat INSIDE your home in winter and in hot summer conditions keeps excessive heat OUTSIDE promoting all-year-round comfort. Once installed this should last the lifetime of your house.
Without this insulation, your empty cavity wall allows heat to escape all too easily! You will probably have noticed that shortly after you turn down your heating (gas, electricity, oil) your rooms begin to feel cold. Because of this you turn up your heating, probably even higher than before, to make the temperature more comfortable.
The result: You use more fuel and receive more costly utility bills!
Depending on the size of your house and with current fuel prices so high, you could be saving £200 - £300 a year with cavity wall insulation.
Why is it important to install cavity wall insulation?
Well first of all to SAVE YOU LOTS OF MONEY - not only now but year after year - and each time fuel prices go up your savings INCREASE! More heat is lost through your walls than from anywhere else in your house. The Government regards cavity wall insulation as one of the most effective cost and carbon saving measures that you can carry out on your property - which is why they are encouraging all home owners who have unfilled cavity walls to get them insulated now.
Is cavity wall insulation expensive?
No. It is very economically priced! We tell you the cost when we have surveyed your property as prices depend on the size of your house but whatever size of your house the payback period through reduced fuel bills is typically just 3 – 5 years and it will then go on saving you money for years to come.
How long will the installation take?
An average three bedroom semi-detached house will take around 2 to 3 hours.
